The Donvale Tennis Club (DTC) was established in 1965 in response to a strong community need for tennis facilities in the area and celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2015. From humble beginnings membership numbers are now around 400 and comprises a broad range of ages; juniors, teens, adults, families and seniors, many of whom reside in the Donvale and Doncaster area.

Club Facilities

There are ten courts in total, 6 well maintained en-tout-cas courts and 4 synthetic clay courts. 8 courts are lit for night play.

The double-storey clubhouse features a lounge, television, bar facilities, sun deck, fully equipped kitchen, toilets and showers, junior games room, barbecue facilities, a practice wall and ample car parking well away from the main road.

The club was awarded Metropolitan Club of the Year by Tennis Victoria in 2004.

The Donvale Tennis Club prides itself on promoting a friendly, healthy and social environment where individuals and families can enjoy the game of tennis. We have various social and competitive tennis options and accommodate all standards; from beginners to pennant level, and all age groups; from junior to veteran’s competition.

The club is represented on the Tennis Victoria Council and has a full time High Performance coach. Mark Hartnett is the proprietor of Pro Tennis Academy and is accredited to the highest national level. Mark was awarded Victorian Coach of the Year in 2004.

Safeguarding Children

Donvale Tennis Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child who takes part in our activities, programs, events or services and as such our By Laws state:

(c) Donvale Tennis Club supports the Government Child Safe Standards and ensuring that all young participants at our Club have a safe and enjoyable experience. All children under 18 must be supervised by a parent or a nominated supervising adult at all times while on Club premises.  Read By Laws here
